The e-IRG findings and recommendations for future actions will be presented at the next TERENA Networking Conference in Málaga, during a “BoF” session held on Tuesday 9 June, 2009.
Two recent e-IRG documents will serve as the basis for the discussion: the e-IRG White paper, which focuses on short term policy findings, and covers this year topics such as e-Infrastructure sustainability, cloud and grid computing, virtualisation, security, remote instrumentation, education and training, and global collaboration; the e-IRG Roadmap, a more medium-to-long term document that seeks to anticipate the e-Infrastructure developments, and to define the role the e-IRG can play to get the best out of these developments and new services.
In addition, a demo of the e-IRG knowledge base will be given (http://knowledgebase.e-irg.eu).
