The EuroHPC Joint Undertaking becomes autonomous

Two years after its establishment, the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) is now running under its own steam. Academy of Finland announces funding for Finnish Flagships, research infrastructures and RDI partnership networks

The Academy of Finland has received a one-off increase of 81 million euro in its budget authority through the Finnish Government's fourth supplementary budget. In accordance with the supplementary budget, the Academy will target funding to support the National Roadmap for Research, Development and Innovation and its objectives relating to solutions for a sustainable and developing society.

Netherlands eScience Center and DANS launch new FAIR Software website

e-Infrastructures are IT infrastructures designed to help science. Most of the time the focus is on how e-Infrastructures can help scientific discovery. Science however cannot be in progress without skilled, well-trained scientists. What role can e-Infrastructures play in the scientific education and training process? Successful integration of EOSC catalogue services in the e-Infrastructure Knowledge Base

The e-IRG Knowledge Base maintained by Genias for the e-IRGSP6 project is the largest information source of e-Infrastructures in Europe. It organises over 20.000 information items in one big Knowledge Graph. The European Open Science Cloud EOSC catalogue gives an overview of the services available in the European Open Science Cloud to researchers in Europe.

e-IRG issues Call for Participation to second Open Workshop in 2019 under Finnish EU Presidency

The second e-IRG Open Workshop in 2019 will take place in Finland at the Helsinki City Center, in the "House of Sciences", December 4-5, 2019. The EOSC Symposium call for contributions is open

The EOSC Symposium that will take place November 26-28, 2019 in Budapest, Hungary is all about giving the EOSC community the chance to shape discussions on the strategic priorities of the EOSC and at the same time contribute to the work of the Executive Board Working Groups. After four years the ELIXIR-EXCELERATE project successfully concluded on 31 August 2019. The main goal of the 19 million euro Horizon 2020 project was to bring together bioinformatics resources across Europe and integrate them into a federated infrastructure for life science data.
